Organizations

The Automotive Recyclers Association Official Site
This is the association that does so much of the grunt work behind the scenes in the auto recycling industry. For example, they set up standards and codes that we as recyclers can use on our inventory. What does that mean to you? Well, if you take a look at those codes it will make it so much easier to find the part you are looking for, as well as know what to expect from your recycler. The standards include ways to measure damage from a small parking lot ding to something that has had all the paint complete burnt off. Aside from that, they also spearhead efforts to lobby the politicians in Washington D.C. to make sure the repaired vehicles are safe, and salvage operations are not stymied by too much scrutiny and not enough help and education. What does that mean to you? More peace of mind with used vehicles, more environmentally friendly recycling facilities, and ultimately a more affordable parts buying experience.

Walt & Vern's can do a locator search on many parts on-site, by phone, or through email part search request forms. These locates search all recyclers with access to the Hollander system mentioned above.
